About Master Craft Wood Turning

Over 80 years ago, Master Craft’s roots were formed with a company named “Kitchener Buttons” the producer of intricate wooden buttons for the fashion industry, particularly suit jackets and over coats. With the introduction of plastic, the focus turned to the production of wooden tuning and volume controls for the newly formed “wireless” radio industry in the 1940′s. In the ‘60′s, the company became a national producer of the famous “YO-YO”, as well as introducing a line of wooden knobs for the building industry.

In 1973, Master Craft Wood Turnings was incorporated to produce wooden knobs, amongst other wood turnings, using the specialized technology that had been developed over the prior years. Located in Elmira, Ontario, Canada, we have become one of North America’s premium suppliers of face grain knobs, and specialty products, such as rosettes, keytags, and other forms of disks. By continually upgrading our custom built equipment (we now have 3 CNC knob machines), we are able to guarantee top quality and timely deliveries.

Our shipping department and production team respect the meaning of “on time”, and by doing so, they produce and ship large quantities of product on a regular basis.
